A warm, buttery baked pastry dessert made with croissants and melted chocolate. Perfect for brunch, dessert, or when you want something cozy and indulgent.

Ingredients

  • 4 croissants (day-old works best)
  • 100 g chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 ml milk
  • 50 ml heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cut croissants into large pieces and place in a small baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the croissants.
  4. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla.
  5. Pour the mixture over the croissants.
  6. Let sit for 5 minutes so croissants absorb the mixture.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar.
